Avenue of Flags

With our organization’s mission always in mind, we strive to find new strategies for dealing with this challenge. Avenue of Flags shows visual support of the Akron Community helping various Not-For-Profits in the area and funding other Community based service projects. In 2023 we helped the Rotary Club, St. Teresa's Youth Ministry, Trinity Church, Akron HS Cheerleaders, Akron Women's Soccer, The Akron HS Class of 2024, and the Lady Lions.  We support the Akron Celebration Committee for the

annual July Fireworks and New Year's Eve Celebration.

We are looking for more organizations to help with 2024.  This year the Akron High School Football Team is running a route.  We can use more groups. Money raised also supported service projects in the area such as Victor Pavilion, The Splash Pad in Russell Park, the Rock Garden in Akron Falls and the Fence by St. John's Cemetary.

Click below to subscribe to the Akron Avenue of Flags.  An American Flag will be placed in front of your home from dawn to dusk on the 5 Major Patriot Holidays:  Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, Labor Day and Veteran's Day.  This is limited to the certain parts of Akron/Newstead.

Cost for the year is $50.00.  All proceeds support local charities, youth activities and community service projects.  We will open again January 1, 2025 for next year.

Due to inclement weather Memorial Day was cancelled.  We will do 9/11 instead.  Enrollment is now CLOSED FOR THE YEAR. Subscriptions will open again January 1, 2025.
